Don’t let yourself be taken advantage of!
If you find yourself in a situation where, for example, at a party, your friends ask you to dance, it may seem like just showing off your skills, but please! This is your livelihood. Do you know anyone who, as a doctor, goes around houses providing services for free?
Dancing is also a profession!
Sometimes, you need to make some people aware that it is indeed your livelihood, and that you are making a living out of it. If someone dares to ask you to show them your talent FOR FREE… that says a lot about them 🙂 I know that when it comes to close ones, it can be challenging to separate this boundary, and you might do someone a favor related to what we do daily, but girl – respect your time, effort, and money!
“Isn’t stripping your hobby?”
It is! And that’s the whole point. I do what I love and earn a good amount of money. Working at a club at night is not the same as going out to a club at night. Even though stripping brings you a lot of joy – it’s still work, and after that, you need to rest and take care of other aspects of daily life.
My dear, know your worth and appreciate the effort you put into your work. I know it can be challenging to say no to someone who is our friend, but you can’t treat yourself like a volunteer. Make sure you get the deserved money for everything related to your profession 😉
